Bingo Superstar Ballad Posted: 1st January 1970 in 888 Ladies
Earlier this year 888 Ladies dropped their celebrity endorsement with Vic Reeves. This meant that they required a new set of TV adverts to attract visitors to their bingo rooms and The Bingo Superstar campaign was born. In Ballad a bingo player called Lucy is recording her first single about her love for bingo!
The "funny" thing about the advert is that Bingo Superstar Lucy isn't a good singer, but she believes she's on the way to being just a Superstar. We're wondering whether one of the teams from The Apprentice dreamt this advert up because it's so bad on so many levels it's shocking. At least with Vic Reeves the advert had humour and a focal point!
The strapline of the advert is "Everyday a Bingo Superstar is born" - let's just hope they don't have the desire to release singles or make adverts, eh!
