After a lull in the bingo brand boom that we reported last year, it seems that brand name bingo is back! High street stores, bookmakers, online brands and even airlines are jumping on the bingo bandwagon. Following Ladbrokes' bingo launch and the brand new Paddy Power Bingo, William Hill have also launched a bingo room. Run by Virtuefusion it offers bingo games from just 5p. Also new in 2007 is Woolworths Bingo. They've teamed up with St Minver for a version of their bingo game. Also joining the likes of Littlewoods and Butlins at St Minver are Teletext, who seem keen to use the web as a way to develop the brand.
Last year, Irish airline Ryanair announced a partnership with our friends over at Jackpotjoy. Ryaniar have now been joined in the mile high bingo club by Flybe who are teaming up with PAF to offer visitors to their website the chance to play online games, including bingo.
Putting a brand name onto a bingo site isn't always a formula for success. The bingo market place in the UK is getting busier and so the new sites are going to have to make sure they offer something unique to players to entice them in to the branded bingo rooms.
